Review Process
In order to maintain a platform where students can continue to engage in political research and explore their own political identity, the Ridge Political Review utilizes a comprehensive review process of article submissions. Principally, all topics must be fielded to the Editor-in-Chief before writers start their articles. The secondary check comes from editors assigned to each category (Domestic, International, etc) during which editors seek to eliminate biases of non-opinion articles. Before any article is published on the site, it is once more read by the Editor-in-Chief and reviewed by the Managing Editor. In sum, no less than 3 other students will read over a contributor’s article before it is published.
If at any point in time an editor raises concern about hate speech, defamatory language, or any possible offensive content, they will bring the article to the RPR advisor for guidance on how to proceed.
